I grew up in Ukiah, California, a beautiful town of about 15,000 people, about 100 miles north of San Francisco. I graduated from Ukiah High School in 1996. I served a two-year LDS mission to El Salvador (1997–1999). I graduated from Brigham Young University in April 2002 with a BA in English (editing emphasis) and a minor in Spanish. My current plans are to get a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. My hobbies include reading Calvin and Hobbes, eating at the Bombay House, and making little kids laugh during storytime at the local library.
